A history lesson!

We were getting ready to leave Wal-Mart this morning, and this dear old man drove up on the vacant lot beside us. . . . He was a Christian, and encouraged us in the Lord! He brought over his backhoe and had the children pick up rocks and put them in the bucket. This man was the 
Mayor of this town years ago. He told us stories about the land. That old cabin housed confederate soldiors during the Civil War . During the night, some body came and stole a linchpin from the cannons. So the Confederates had to leave the Canon behind. Many people think that they would have won the war if they could have taken the Canon along!.. Very interesting story! Another praise to our Father... We got 16 miles to the gallon, and we were only figuring on 12 at best! Praise Him! He is so good to us!
